Deutsche Metal-Band covert TREDEGAR-Klassiker für das kommende Album „NWOBHM – From The Vaults“ (VÖ: 09.05.2025)
Die deutsche Metal-Band ROXXCALIBUR hat heute ihre neue Single und das dazugehörige Musikvideo zum Song „Wheels“ veröffentlicht!
Dieser energiegeladene Track, ein Cover des ursprünglich 1982 von TREDEGAR aufgenommenen Songs, stammt vom kommenden Album der Band mit dem Titel „NWOBHM – From The Vaults“, das am 9. Mai 2025 über Limb Music erscheinen wird.
Gitarrist Holger kommentiert:
“‘Wheels’ is the second fast song on the album. It's a really strong, fast-paced number. However, this guitar run, which occurs at the beginning and in the middle, is a bit tricky to play. Or rather, Kalli had to invest a bit of time to figure it out. There is no sheet music or tablature for such songs, so he had to make a lot of guesses here. At least that's how I interpret his reaction when I asked him about it during the recordings...haha. None of us would have thought up the riff in the verse like that either. But it's definitely a great number with a strong hookline!”
Drummer Neudi fügt hinzu:
“TREDEGAR have always been known outside of NWOBHM circles, as Budgie's guitarist Tony Bourge played a leading role in the band. But Russ North, who sadly passed away recently and is better known for Cloven Hoof, also has a name in the scene. Guitarist Andy Wood was also later in Cloven Hoof and is now the lead singer in Rhabstallion. ‘Wheels’ is a rather harder and faster song for TREDEGAR and gave us the chance to put another lively track on our fourth album.”
Mit „Wheels“ präsentieren ROXXCALIBUR einen kraftvollen Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes Album, das eine Hommage an die legendäre
New Wave Of British Heavy Metal sein wird.
